Call for applications for the New Cooperation Fund

Civil society organisations and cultural, educational and knowledge institutions registered in Denmark are eligible for funding to help establish long-lasting cooperations with organisations in the Eastern Neighbourhood Countries.

The New Cooperation Fund is a part of the New Democracy Fund, a consortium of five organisations, including IMS, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark’s Eastern Neighbourhood Programme. The New Cooperation Fund will support smaller projects that will allow civil society actors to continue existing partnerships or develop new ones with partners in the Eastern Neighbourhood Countries. The Fund will prioritise projects that demonstrate an ambition to establish a long-lasting partnership that goes beyond traditional development assistance.

The purpose of the Fund is to support collaborations that:

  • Develop new or innovative people-to-people cooperation and exchange of experience
  • Enable the continuation of existing partnerships for further development of valuable experiences and contribute to building sustainable partnerships

The Fund is open to civil society organisations and cultural, educational and knowledge institutions registered in Denmark, including NGOs and self-governing organisations. The total budget for New Cooperation Fund is 10 million DKK and a maximum of 15 projects will be supported. The first call for applications is open until 8 August 2021. A second call for applications is expected to open in November 2021. Visit the New Cooperation Fund page for more information and to apply.
