Support IMS’ work
Help Syrian journalists continue their work in the aftermath of the Syria-Turkey earthquakes
The earthquakes in Syria and Turkey have killed more than 45,000 people and left thousands more without homes, food and heat. This catastrophe is only deepening the prolonged crisis that Syrians have endured through the last decade: fleeing war, losing family and friends and living in temporary homes or camps without access to basic necessities.
During and after a massive natural disaster, access to reliable information and guidance can save lives. IMS is supporting independent Syrian media outlets in the areas most affected by the earthquakes. These outlets keep Syrians informed about how they can receive help and keep themselves safe.
You can help the Syrian journalists continue their work. Our Syrian partners have lost homes, offices and equipment – some have lost family members and friends. If you support IMS, the funds will cover:
- Temporary offices to work from.
- Replacing damaged equipment (cameras, computers, sound recorders).
- Food, shelter, psycho-social support and other basic necessities for journalists and media workers.
IMS has supported independent Syrian media since 2005 and has watched them survive and keep reporting through war, conflict and displacement. They need our support to continue their vital work.
