Photojournalism: Myanmar in transition

From conflict to everyday life, photojournalists show us a glimpse of the progress, the hope, the forbidden and the personal stories of people living in times of dramatic political change and democratic transition.

The availability of new media and technology has broken down barriers in many countries where photography has traditionally been viewed with suspicion.

This is particularly true in Myanmar. Here, IMS conducts photojournalism courses which aim to empower reporters and citizen journalists to tell their stories through pictures.
