Open call for tenderers for support to independent media in the Middle East and North Africa

To support the independent public interest media sector in the Middle East and North Africa, IMS is launching an open call for interested service providers.

Independent media in the Middle East and North Africa face significant systemic challenges that undermine and severely restrict sector capacities to effectively serve public interests; remain independent and relevant to their audiences; and counter polarising discourses and disinformation.

To support the independent public interest media sector in the Middle East and North Africa, IMS is launching an open call for interested service providers. The purpose of the tender is to strengthen existing regional networks and build more effective operational capacities to convene communities of practice in the Southern Neighbourhood, better facilitate knowledge transfer, and share experience and good practice. Further, the aim is to foster collaborative opportunities for business development and content co-production among independent media actors (all genders; early- mid-senior career; serving diverse populations) and across all sectors of the media industry.

The tender is a part of a larger programme, which is co-funded by the EU and managed by a Consortium with FPU and IMS, supporting independent media outlets in the Middle East and North Africa. Its contents are the sole responsibility of IMS and do not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union.

Please find more details in the tender materials below. Before submitting a tender, please read and gain a proper understanding of the invitation to tender and the three documents. Questions and the final proposal should be sent to OpenProcess@mediasupport.org.
