15 year anniversary of IMS

International Media Support celebrates its 15 year anniversary on Thursday, 15 December between 2 – 5 PM with a debate followed by reception at Kosmopol, Fiolstræde 44, Copenhagen K

What next for media development in a world where independent media is struggling to survive in shrinking spaces for democracy, and where misinformation on new media platforms is gaining impact?

Since 2001, IMS and our partners have worked to ensure that people have access to reliable information and that those who work to promote press freedom have the necessary support to do so.

In an open discussion with experts we will address how IMS can continue to be relevant in a world where shifts in technology, political and economic models have expanded the opportunities for press freedom and access to information – but where these same global trends are also curbing the rights, safety and independence of media workers.

  • Jesper Højberg, Executive Director of IMS
  • Andrew Puddephatt, Chairman of IMS, United Kingdom
  • Per Stig Møller, former Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs, founder of Danish Arab Partnership Programme
