As Lebanese women, the revolution is our opportunity

Women played an enormous role in the anti-government protests known as the Lebanese “October Revolution” with up to a million people taking to the streets to express their dissatisfaction with what they see as an ingrained, failing system. In this video, the independent digital media platform Daraj demonstrates the importance of women’s participation in striving towards societal changes and shines a light on their role as front runners in these developments – even in spite of the many obstacles they face in a country where women’s rights and gender equality are constantly challenged.
