Thomas Prag (Chairman) for nearly 20 years was Managing Director (and briefly Chairman) of Moray Firth Radio based in Inverness. Under his guidance, the station became one of the most highly awarded in the United Kingdom, and well known for its commitment to community service. Before that, he worked for the BBC. Until recently he was part-time Member for Scotland of the Radio Authority (the UK radio industry regulator) and chaired their Access Radio Sub-Committee. He is involved in consultancy work and media training, is Chairman of the UHI Millennium Institute and plays a major role in various community organisations.Gordon Adam (Managing Director) founded Media Support in 2001. Previously he co-founded Media Action International, a Geneva based foundation, following 18 years as a BBC journalist. He was responsible for setting up and managing radio-led projects in Afghanistan and Mozambique, and for Strengthening Lifeline Media in Regions of Conflict, which sought to learn lessons from media initiatives in conflict areas. This led to the publication of Working with Media and in Conflicts and other Emergencies for the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID). Other publications by Gordon Adam include Radio and HIV/AIDS: Making a Difference and Health on Air (both with Nicola Harford).
In 1994 he set up a media led health education initiative for Health Unlimited in Cambodia (still operating), and has been a consultant with the World Bank, DFID, NOVIB (Holland) and a number of UN organisations. He previously worked for the BBC World Service as Head of its Pashto Language service, where he initiated a number of educational media initiatives, including the soap opera for Afghanistan New Home New Life which is still running after ten years.
Neil Shaw (Company Secretary) specialises in finance and administration and works independently for many clients in the Scottish Highlands. Previously, he was Finance Director of Moray Firth Radio and Window Communications, another Highland based company which made music radio programmes for broadcast in China, Mongolia and Vietnam.
Julia Russell (Administrator/Web) has worked in administration, Web development and design and finance for a number of years. She was responsible for the production and distribution of Health on Air and Radio and HIV/AIDS: Making a Difference - the latter in three languages
